Wahoo! Voting In Texas

How much did this little venture cost US taxpayers?
4:43 P.M. CST

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you all.

Q Was it worth coming?

THE PRESIDENT: Yes, you bet, it's always good to come home to vote. And I urge all people to vote when given a chance. It's also good to be home in Texas -- get a little rest here in my homestead and then heading over to New Orleans tomorrow and Mississippi. Thank you all.

END 4:44 P.M. CST
Ah, it's good to know the Shubster is getting some rest. Everyone needs to kick up his or her heals at the "homestead" after a day of burning taxpayer dollars. Calculated by the minute, this man is very expensive - and arguably, not worth one red cent.

Voting in Texas versus sending in an absentee ballot - serious difference in tax dollars. Screwing the taxpayers for another photo op - priceless.

I wish I could screw the taxpayers out of some photo ops. We have a nice quaint little town hall out here in the wilderness. It would really make some good pictures, I think. True Americana.

Jeez...the man couldn't vote absentee?

My fondest memory of voting in the Lone Star State were the old mechanical voting machines with the little switches and the big lever. I was always amused by the two switches at the top, bigger than the rest, that said "Republican" and "Democrat". These were the "ticket" switches that would allow you to vote the whole ticket at once.

The "Republican" switch always had tape over it. :-) Sort of like a Diebold voting machine but with more panache.
