Every American serving in this war can be absolutely certain that the people of our country do not support a policy of passivity, resignation, and defeatism in the face of terror. The United States will never go back to the false comforts of the world before September 11th, 2001. Terrorist attacks are not caused by the use of strength. They are invited by the perception of weakness. (Applause.)But didn't the president also say yesterday: "Excuse me, excuse me. No President wants war."
Does the Veep's words seem like he reflects that sentiment? Right, that's exactly what I thought. This doesn't sounds like a group of people who don't care to go to war if they can at all avoid it?

Just as I said in my post today, they rode into the spotlight on a horse named war. Now that horse is dying and they either get a new horse named Iran or else they stay where they are. Bush says he's not for getting a new horse but cheney wants to keep on going. I'm pretty sure getting the first horse was cheney's idea.
Yes, I am rather tired of it myself and apparently, so are the 9/11 families, whom the Righties blast every chance they get, which is interesting, isn't it? Why does the media ignore the 9/11 families- dont they have more legitimacy than the President when talking about the suffering and impact of 9/11?
I love watching the Right expose itself- oh, they are soooooo patriotic until a soldier dares come back and speak out against the war, or a dead soldiers mother questions publicly her sons death. Then suddenly those people are whores and traitors according to the Right. And when the 9/11 families were criticizing the POTUS for opposing the formation of the 9/11 commmission the Right Wing blogs, all of which have some pictoral tribute to 9/11 in their sidebar, went out and trashed the families.
To the Right, 9/11 was nothing but a convenient excuse to do things they have wanted to do for years. They don't give a shit about first responders, family members or the 3,000 dead, other than what they can achieve using them as political props. It's sickening and I wish the media would pick up on this hypocrisy.
