Every So Often You Get A Great Question From The Whitehouse Press Pool

I love this question offered at the tail end of today's press conference. How about you? It makes reading these texts worth the effort. Of course, we see the usual nonchalant answer from Scotty.
Q Scott, you gave us a tick-tock on the Claude Allen situation, and the President even spoke about it on Saturday. Can you tell us why you've elected to talk about this situation, but have refused comment on the Moussaoui trial or Scooter Libby's case, as well?

MR. McCLELLAN: I was asked a question about this specific matter in terms of the facts and what related to it. And in terms of legal issues that are ongoing before the courts, I don't think we typically get into those matters.
So, if poor, unfortunately Claude Allen is tangled in his own legal imbroglio, what makes him so different than Scooter, Shooter, et al? Because, perhaps, Claude screwed up himself. With these others, it's a bigger mess and the implications reach all the way to the tipity top.

If the WH press corp had any balls, and they clearly dont, then when the time came for their next big WH briefing, none of them would show up- they would boycott it and tell the WH they are not going to bother to show up until McClellan stops blowing smoke up their asses.

Yeah that Allen. Now there's ANOTHER ONE! Another poster boy for the failures and lack of ethics in this administration. Christ, didn't he take those vaunted 'Ethics' courses Bush was going to have all his staff take? Jesus, they have enough poster boys now for their own calendar, don't they?
