"This Rift, or That Rift. That's Typical Washington"

So, when do we get to diagnose W as being clinically in denial about the sorry state of affairs in his administration?
Q Sir, are you concerned about the rift that the Dubai Ports has opened with the Republican Party?

THE PRESIDENT: The Republican Party is united in our efforts to win the war on terror. The Republican Party is united in our efforts to keep this economy strong by keeping taxes low. The Republican Party is united in making us less dependent on foreign sources of oil.

I've read all the stories about this rift, or that rift. That's typical Washington, it seems like to me. I am looking forward to continuing to work with the leadership in the United States Congress to pass an agenda that will keep America the economic leader of the world and will keep this country secure. And next fall I'm looking forward to campaigning with our candidates. I'm convinced ours is the party that has got an agenda for the future, and ours is the party that has preformed.
Brace yourselves, as the coming weeks we will be treated to more spin and speechifying that will need be endured. The bigger questions is do you believe the president in his weekly radio address?
On Monday, I will give the first of these speeches, focusing on the security element of our strategy: the task of defeating the terrorists and training Iraqi security forces so they can take the lead in the fight and defend their own democracy...

After the liberation of the Iraqi people, al Qaida and their affiliates have made Iraq the central front on the war on terror. By helping the Iraqi people build a free and representative government, we will deny the terrorists a safe haven to plan attacks against America. The security of our country is directly linked to the liberty of the Iraqi people. This will require more difficult days of fighting and sacrifice, yet I am confident that our strategy will result in victory, and then our troops can come home with the honor they have earned.

"Clinically In Denial"...OMG...that says it all.
I watched the Cpsan Harpers Impeachment Panel yesterday and one of the Panelists said" I wonder if Bush would try to use Ignorance as a Defense for impeachment" and I think it was Dean responded " I think he might have a case".....

The White House needs an Enema...

I watched Bush's speech yesterday to the Newsguys- it was pathetic....Thank heavens Monty Python is on PBS tonight...I needed to laugh- or might my head would be in explosive condition...

Yeah Bush is going to make the rounds to try to sell the war again, his approval ratings are slipping, but he pretends he doesn't care about them. But if that were the case, he wouldn't be out trying to boost approval ratings for the war!

"Rift? I got yer rift right here." It's that vertical slit in Bu$h's face. The one from which so much nonsense eminates.
