What?

Is this man stupid or really very, very smart (see applause noted)? Am I missing the connection between a balanced legal system and good paying jobs?
But one thing is for certain: People around this country have got to understand we need a balanced legal system if Americans want to be able to find good-paying jobs. (Applause.)

Perhaps he's ramping up to the Alito nomination fight by making a connection between a more conservative court and job creation-- Litigation, worker benefits, worker rights, workman's comp., and the like.

That's a part of the usual talking points, though most conservatives don't bother to mention that savings realized from a more favorable business climate frequently are taken as profit rather than used to create jobs.
