Slap Me Silly and Call Me Pistol Whipped

Well, fuck me gentley with a chainsaw (points to the blogger who knows what movie I stole that line from), but what's fair and balanced about the Big Dick's appearance on two wonderful programs today? Live with Hannity and the other by some dude named Tony Snow.

With the first, Hannity sets em up and the Veep knocks em down. With clowns like this running the show, it's no wonder we are in a world of shit:
Q Howard Dean said the idea that we're going to win this war is an idea that unfortunately is plain wrong. John Kerry said that there's no reason young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, women, and breaking the customs, et cetera. When you hear that, what is your reaction? And do you think it puts our troops in greater harm?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Well, I think it's unfortunate. I take those comments as being offered primarily for political reasons. I don't think Howard Dean has ever given any thoughtful consideration to what's going on over there. He certainly hasn't indicated that by any of his public statements. And of course, John Kerry's views were aired pretty thoroughly during the last campaign.
Tony's no better. Same shit, different stooge.
Q Talking today with Senator Mike DeWine, he said, yes, it's over. And that's kind of my view. Judge Alito has comported himself with composure and grace. You would be happy to perhaps hear that yesterday in the conversations, Senator Joe Biden had 78 percent of the words in the interviews with Judge Alito. Judge Alito only got to get in 22 percent just because the Senator was holding forth at great length. But do you see any real bumps here? Do you think Sam Alito is going to get confirmed?

THE VICE PRESIDENT: I'm confident he'll get confirmed. I think -- the way he's handled himself in these hearings is evidence for anybody who hadn't been able to look at the case before that this man is eminently qualified for the post he's been appointed to. And I think he'll get a very positive vote. I venture to guess he'll get more than 60 votes.
Who the hell listens to these shows? I don't know, but there ain't nothin' fair and balanced about 'em.
