Of High Moral and Ethical Values

Sure, the GOP claims to be staunch followers of high morals and good christian ethics, but it appears that is the case only if you get caught. Why else did DeLay wait until now to suggest some one else might be better suited to lead the "majority?"
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat, said DeLay had "engineered" a "culture of corruption ... so pervasive in the Republican conference that a single person stepping down is not nearly enough to clean up the Republican Congress."
It would be better if the Republicans cleaned their own house, now wouldn't it?

That's probably the thing about the republican party that offers the most comic relief - they do bad things, but things only become bad after they get caught!

Oh, well. God's will, I suppose...

It's the scale of the transgressions that gets me. When the Republicans say something like, "Well Dems did it to," they're usually referring some some $5000.00 contribution or some such. While conservatives are busy lining their coffers with hundreds of thousands.

In the Abramoff affair, the ration was 3 to 1, and yet if you listen to the MSM you'd get the impression that everybody was sucking at Abramoff's tit equally.
