This pic starts a series of shots I stole straight off Neil Shakespeare's blog because, frankly, I'm not much of an artist, but I know good art when I smell it. Just like pornography. Art as Blog or Blog as Art - it's one and the same. It's the perfect tonic for the football weary, can't stuff another chip down my gullet, I'm so tired of the same old plays, show me one more tivo'ed snip of Janet's breast, kind of person.
This particular shot is his self portrait. Guess how many personalities are wrapped up in his noggin'!
After going over to his location and admiring his work for a while now, I thought I would post a handful of my favorite of his pieces here. I wanted to see how he started it all, and as is my want to do, I went to his first post. Then I got sucked in and kept clicking. I encourage you to visit his location and visit often to get the original text he posted along with these pics - a few of my favorites.
To honor his work, I am starting with this particular shot and in reverse order, displaying his work over here - which I hope is okay with Neil. I am a devoted daily Neil reader, because in my humble opinion he offers the perfect blend of comedy with tragedy. He makes his point, he makes you laugh, he even gives you an aftertaste to walk around with. Love Neil.
Wow there are a lot of interesting things in that picture catching my eye...other than the obvious part :-)
