I found this image on the NYTimes web location. No, most of us weren't splitting our guts for victory this Sunday. But in NYC, some were. If you dig a bit deeper into the story, you will find the Marathon produces more heroes there than you can shake a stick at.
Unfortunately, becuase of the W, Rove and Co, there is a new brand of hero "running" and finishing the race.
Indeed, as Doc Sheehan used to say, "It is not that I finished, but that I had the courage to start."
