Q Thank you, Scott. Now that 1,000 convicts have been executed since the Supreme Court restored the death penalty, what is the President's view on capital punishment?MR. McCLELLAN: The President strongly supports the death penalty, because he believes, ultimately, it helps save innocent lives. When it's administered fairly and swiftly and surely, it serves as a deterrent and it saves innocent lives. And that's why the President has been a strong supporter of it.
Why is it that the Rhetoric of these so-called "Culture of Lifers" stop at a woman's right to choose the destiny of her own fetus?

You know, windspike, in certain cases I support the death penalty, such as for government officials who are war criminals.
Whelp...I read what Stacy wrote and she is dead on..and I read the isabelita's comment..but I think I want the War Criminals to rot in a cold damp dark prison for a very long time....The Religous wingnuts always confuse me- Protect Life and the Spoon Girls with their Feed Terri Signs last spring, and yet they support the Death Penalty..I don't get it...it is a huge mindbender

Fairly and swiftly and surely, the three criteria are theoretical. Note the absence of 'guilty.' How may lives do theoretical processes save?
People who believe nonsense will do and say anything. The reasons given don't even enter the realm of plausibility.
