OTR

By the way, is there much of anything that the President does that is off the record? From the press gaggle today aboard Airforce One - headed to yet another photo op for the W:
Q Can you give us any more information about the business that he's visiting? The recovering business in New Orleans?

MR. McCLELLAN: I'll get it to you later. It's an OTR event for now.
By the way, didn't the Mayor of NO issue an evacuation order? How can the Prez plan a trek to NO if they have been ordered to evacuate it?

Saturday night, dead: On the record

We're invading Iraq, that's OTR. How can anything the US does be OTR? From whom? Other countries? US citizens?

Warning: Wind out of the East

''Hurricane Rita; it is a category one hurricane as of 9:00 a.m. this morning. The Department of Homeland Security-FEMA put out a release last night -- this is a storm that people need to take seriously.''

Don't we have a national weather service to forecast the weather? Is Homeland Security next week going to be inspecting poultry processing plants? Approving over-the-counter medications? Issuing passports?

Thank you! cities and states

''On Friday and Saturday the President will be traveling to cities and states that have taken in large numbers of people that had to be evacuated because of Hurricane Katrina, and the trip will be an opportunity for the President to personally thank those cities and states for taking in our fellow citizens during this difficult time.''

Tomorrow's news today: We'll be blowing smoke up your skirt.
