It all Rests with the Governator

At least the vast majority of Californians realize that same-sex marriage poses no threat to the heteros who do it. Let's hope the Governator signs it into law.

The state Assembly, in a stunning victory for the gay rights movement, approved a landmark bill allowing same-sex marriage Tuesday night and sent it to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. The measure, which passed with no votes to spare, marks the first time that a legislative body in the United States has approved a bill that legalizes gay marriage.
P.S. update at 8:39 PM - Sad to say, but it looks like the gropenator is going to veto the bill taking the easy way out. It looks like he won't be getting my vote any time soon.:
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said on Wednesday he will veto a bill to allow gay marriage in the state and said the issue should be decided by the courts or by voters directly but not by the Democrat-controlled legislature.
