Long Distance Mother

Rang up my Mom this AM to wish her happy Mothers' Day. Come to find out she is having a splendid day, replete with the running of an 8 mile trail race in the rain. I can't think of a better way to spend the day, but I sure wish I could have been out on the trail with her to cheer her to the finish. She is my role model at just slightly over twenty years older than me, she's is not slowing down for retirement, merely just getting started on ramping it up.

I love you Mom. Happy Mothers' Day.

A good son you are! I hope you're making glitter-covered macaroni plaques for the mom in your household, too.
