Can We Trust The Whitehouse When They Say Things Like...

Okay, I may be wrong here, but you have got to hand it to the Whitehouse when they believe in themselves to such a degree that they don't even know they are lying.

Have a look at this comment by Dana Perino given at today's press briefing and let us know if you think that she is being truthful here:
Q Dana, you mentioned the President's calls about the Darfur situation today. The group Save Darfur Coalition has a recent pretty big ad buy in newspapers and TV. They show graphic images of children and women, and at the end of these ads, it says, "President Bush, stop the genocide now." Could I get you to react to the charge that the U.S. should and could do more, that this last line, the President somehow has the ability to stop the genocide in Darfur?

MS. PERINO: I believe it's -- you've heard the President. He is one of -- I believe he was the first to call this violence in Darfur genocide...
How could you belive that, Ms. Perino? Smoking the GOP Crack pipe to hard and long? Certainly, we can't call you a lyer here because you say that this is what you believe. But really, why do you think she is saying this? It couldn't possibly be true, could it?
