I was doing some quick check of the usual suspects my blog roll and came up with the following musing...call this...drum roll please...
Windspike's Poetic Monday
As the blood continues
To soak Middle Eastern sands
Dear Leaders continues to preach
That pouring good blood after spilled
Will cleanse the gaping wound
Iraq of all it's evil
Surging more blood in between
The grains of sand
Is the only way
To clot up the hemorrhaging
Global War on Terror
But behind the mask
You find ideological strength
That can't be fought with bullets
Bombs just feed and fuel the hate
To soak Middle Eastern sands
Dear Leaders continues to preach
That pouring good blood after spilled
Will cleanse the gaping wound
Iraq of all it's evil
Surging more blood in between
The grains of sand
Is the only way
To clot up the hemorrhaging
Global War on Terror
But behind the mask
You find ideological strength
That can't be fought with bullets
Bombs just feed and fuel the hate

The Roman emperor Hadrian reportedly observed that "The frutis of war are food for more war." Of course, to this lot of bloodsuckers that spells profit.
Vivid poem, spike.
BTW, do you have any idea why my comments function isn't working? Any suggestions on settings? I have no idea where to start looking, but it has been impossible to comment at my poor little site since May 17, when they started some kind of "autosaving" thing...
Nice verse! Sort of sums up the whole "throw in more resources and pray for a miracle" approach that Bu$hCo has our wretched warmongering.
