Just one small question: Does the failure to see the end of Guantanamo's prison spell failure of triumph for the W, Rove and Co?

That they could keep it open for so long, in the face of such overwhelming opposition, is a perverse kind of success for Bu$hCo. It is the triumph of the unitary executive over the supposedly co-equal branches of government. To the extent that it's a failure, it lies in the fact that they have to keep it open to house people for whom they're not able to get successful convictions.
