And he said, 'I'm not sure, I'll have to check with my staff,'" Obama said with a tone of incredulousness at an outdoor event here.Raises an interesting question: How in touch with middle and average America can a person be if he doesn't have a clue how many homes he owns and has to check with his staff to discover he's got SEVEN! Holy Bleep!
"If you don't know how many houses you have, then it's not surprising that you might think the economy is fundamentally strong," he said. "But if you're like me, and you got one house, or you are like the millions of people who are struggling right now to keep up with their mortgage so they don't lose their home, then you might have a different perspective."
The audience laughed and clapped, and then Obama added: "And, by the way, the answer is, John McCain has seven homes." That, it turns out, is true.

How Many Homes Should The New President Own?
It's one thing to have a house in your home town, a place in DC because you work there as a Senator, and then perhaps, if you have the wearwithall to own a vacation home in some lovely location, but not knowing how many homes you own? My goodness.

Senator, know your place
1. Dissembling to conceal that you do know how many homes you own won't cut it with the rich.
2. It takes a lot of homes to make a trophy husband happy.
3. If all of your homes are in the USA, and you don't own a polo team, you're not rich, you're a servant of the rich laundering laws instead of clothes.
