Boo Hoo

I don't mean to sound overly callous, but the MSM is a buzz with Anna Nichol Smith keeling over. For fuck sake, like she did anything important? In direct contrast, how much attention is paid to the latest GI fatalities?
Four U.S. Marines were killed in combat in two separate attacks in western Anbar province, the U.S. military said on Thursday.

Wednesday's deaths took to at least 11 the number of U.S. servicemen killed in
Iraq in the last two days.

All seven crew members and passengers aboard a U.S. Marine transport helicopter were killed on Wednesday after their aircraft crashed in Anbar province. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

The vast desert province of Anbar west of Baghdad is a stronghold of the Sunni Arab insurgency, and the deadliest place for U.S. troops in Iraq.
Is this media blitzkrieg-style attention paid to celebrity over people that have been placed needlessly in harms way by the W, Rove and Co. symptomatic of all that is wrong with America? Methinks, yes.

Well...in a word: NO! But what is interesting is how many people in this little drama have died. Hunt (the millionaire); His son (the man who sued Smith to gain control of the estate and who was sued in turn); Smith's son; Smith herself. In fact, the only two left alive are Smith's lawyer, and the daughter he allegedly sired on her. Something is definitely going on here.

I agree; this string of "coincidental" deaths has a funny way of drastically narrowing down the number of people who would stand to inherit the fortune. And this Stern character was the only other person in Smith's hospital room besides her son and her newborn when her son died mysteriously. I mean, really, there are poisons that when administered can cause someone to have a heart attack. And just because someone apparantly dies of a drug overdose does not by any mean say that the person wasn't shot up with it by someone else, or perhaps injected with something that they knew would have a deadly adverse reaction with whatever other medication they might be on. In any case involving hundreds of millions of dollars, in which four people who were in some way connected to the fortune end up dead, at least two of them in "mysterious circumstances", ALL possibilities deserve to be looked into.

And as for the media circus, it is just what the doctor ordered so to speak for distracting the public from the failing Iraq debacle and the increasing revolt by some in "President" Lush's own party regarding the war.
