COLUMBIA, S.C. – After going AWOL for seven days, Gov. Mark Sanford admitted Wednesday that he'd secretly flown to Argentina to visit a woman with whom he'd been having an affair. He apologized to his wife and four sons and said he will resign as head of the Republican Governors Association. And they say gays are bad for marriage? Where's the moral outrage from the Prop H8 supporters now? Sure the "right" doesn't have a corner on the hypocrisy market, but it sure seems like they have trademarked the whole spoiling the institution of marriage routine.
One must wonder if it's endemic to the GOP; given this from the same article:
Sanford's announcement came a day after another prominent Republican, Sen. John Ensign of Nevada, apologized to his GOP Senate colleagues after revealing last week that he had an affair with a campaign staffer and was resigning from the GOP leadership.Perhaps it's time for the Prop H8 supports to abandon their favored party.

Few days home then to Bahamas for 5 days on a friends boat for the last break of the summer. The following weekend have been asked to spend it out in Aspen, Colorado with McCain — which has kicked up the whole VP talk all over again in the press back home."

I posted on this -- and to be fair (though the scales seem to be tipped to the hypocritical family values-minded GOP vs. the hypocritical family-oriented democratic party) it seems that both camps have male politicians that seem to be of the mind "don't do as I do, do as I say".
