First, action occurs. Then the "reasons" why the action occurred are invented and inserted retrospectively into the organization's history...Once a person knows the outcome, the reasons for that outcome seem obvious and the person cannot imagine any other outcome.

Wednesday's Philosophical Dose
I've been re-reading my Karl Weick as of late and thought that some of his philosophical points are salient for bloggers in the geopolitical sphere. In particular, I think Weick has something to say about the shifting rationale used for the foolish invasion of Iraq. Ruminate on this and let us know what you think:
