God and Jesus Christ

I was helping a friend move an armoire up three flights of stairs last evening...this is not something I recommend doing. Next time some one asks, my reply will be with a local moving company's phone number.

Post the heavy lifting and after a beer or two, the conversation swerved to many topics; one of which was faith. I asked the following:
If I have a deep, connected, and faith-driven relationship with God, but have not accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior, is that a problem for my earthly self or eternal soul?
I thought it would be an interesting post to see what others think. Thanks for any and all comments.

It's a problem for both.

It is a problem now because you can not serve two masters. If you are not in a relationship with God, through Christ, the Creator of all that is, and all that is Good, then you serve evil.

It is a problem eternally because if you never choose to serve God, you will forever serve the evil one.

Eternity is a very long time.

It's not a problem. As a Jewish woman I can be close to God, but I don't have to accept God as my lord and savior. Your faith is your own.

I'm a pagan. No problem here!

A curious dliema, but only for those of the Christian faith, which as its name implies, is all about Jesus Christ.

Billions of people in the world have a relationship with a god yet feel no necessity to worship Jesus. The notion the he was a direct decendant of some ephemeral entity and that only through his teachings can we lead an honest, good, and true life is rather silly.

"If ..."

''If I have a deep, connected, and faith-driven relationship with God, but have not accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior, is that a problem for my earthly self or eternal soul?''

If not? that terminates the ''problem.''

Otherwise, I'd go with 'abraham.' (Above.)
